Our Story

Our Mission

Repairverse empowers the Moncton community through sustainable repair skills, reduces waste by extending the life of everyday items, and connects people across generations through shared knowledge and purpose.

Our Vision

We envision a community where repair is the first choice, not the last resort. Where seniors feel confident with technology, where sustainability is a way of life, and where every person has the skills to mend what's broken - both objects and connections.

Our Values

  • Sustainability: We believe in extending the life of products and reducing waste.
  • Community: We bring people together across generations and backgrounds.
  • Education: We share knowledge and empower others to learn repair skills.
  • Accessibility: Our programs are designed for everyone, especially seniors.
  • Compassion: We approach every interaction with patience and understanding.

Meet the Founder

Ali Ahmar, Founder of Repairverse

[Ali Ahmar]

Ali Ahmar founded RepairVerse in March 2024 after recognizing the growing disconnect between people and the items they use daily. Driven by a vision for a more sustainable and empowered future, he saw an opportunity to bring the community together through the simple act of repair.

"Repair is an act of resistance against planned obsolescence and a celebration of sustainability. Every fixed toaster, every mended sweater, every restored chair is a small victory for our planet." - Ali Ahmar

With over 25 years of experience in management and a background as a realtor, Ali brings leadership, organization, and a deep understanding of community needs to RepairVerse. The organization’s vision is to empower underprivileged youth by putting them on career pathways, teaching practical skills, and helping boost their self-esteem. RepairVerse is also looking to engage more people and expand its impact to other cities, spreading the culture of repair and community empowerment.
